Spring is just around the corner and boy am I itching for the season to start. But before we get going with the season there is some news to be heard.
First order of business is that the team t-shirts are in and they look great. I will make an effort this week to get out all of the shirts to those who ordered them. If you didn’t purchase a shirt I ordered an additional quantity so I do have more if you are interested in one for $20. They come in white, blue, natural, grey, and pink. Sizes S-2XL.
Secondly I am pleased to announce that I registered for the OHIO round of the 2008 ENDUROCROSS Series. There are only 5 classes and there is a maximum of 40 racers per class so I am pretty luck to have this opportunity. The race is not until October 4th but from now until then I will have plenty of race time to hone my skills.
Last year my brother and I had the opportunity to see an Endurocross race in Vegas and let me tell you, nothing about it looks easy but everything about it is action packed! The track consists of man made obstacles inside and arena with everything from huge boulders, to telephone polls, to rock gardens and even a waterfall section. The clip below will give you a good idea of what I’m talking about:

Not only are we planning on making the hike to OH for the Endurocross on Saturday but we are planning on turning around and heading home that night to be back so that we can race at Skippack on Sunday for all of out hometown fans! That’s right! I may be a little beat up from Endurocross but DHaggs Sr. will be fresh and itching to get his race on, on Sunday.
Update on DHaggs Sr: he has been working really hard getting our van together for the upcoming season. There are some really big races on the schedule for this year and we want to make sure that we are every bit ready for the road as well. He gutted the van and made a mini RV out of it with a garage setting in the rear of the van and the front portion resembling a limo. We should be all set for when the weather breaks.
Other than that gym time has been intense, bike set up is just about right, the van is looking more and more like “factory” everyday, and the website is holding strong with the new design and features. It’s just the calm before the storm and we’re just about ready.
