Up and Running...

Well I finally got some riding time in this weekend. The bike is put back together and it is awesome. The flywheel weight puts a totally different feel on my bike. It definitely has a feel of a four stroke now and I still have to get used to it. It feels geared down which should be a lot better in the real technical sections. Plus it is easier to start so I should get some good starts. My Dad and I went over to Jersey, a nice choice since there is still 7 inches of snow up the mountains. It is a great spot just outside Long Beach Island consisting of a nice wide open area with some elevation changes and some really tight trails with great up hills and whooped out lines. And since it is in Jersey it is definitely sandy but you have to know how to ride it all. I only have one more weekend to get the bike ready before Round #3 of the PA Series. This week some clutch plates are a much-needed investment before getting the bike totally dialed this weekend. ONLY 2 WEEKS till GO TIME! Info and Directions will be up soon to Flying Dutchmen MC Club, the host of Round #3 of the PA State Harescramble Series.

Update: I am enjoying this slow period because I know what lies right around the corner. It is less than a month from the true start of the series Round # 2 at Flying Dutchmen. This snow has to go soon because it is killing my gym time and most importantly my seat time on the bike. My bike is stripped down and is getting prepped for some very rugged racing ahead. Just replacing some wear parts like rings, oils, brake pads, clutch plates, bolts, tires, spark plugs, air filters, sprockets, and chain. My machine will be ready this years and that leaves everything else up to luck and myself. “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.” I will be ready…
